He trained as an artist at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia. The artist is one of the leading representatives of what is known as the “New Spanish Sculpture”. He experimented with different materials such as clay, iron, steel, etc. In 1973 he exhibited his first ‘Ciutat’ with clay. He also began to use iron to create larger and more resistant sculptures. In 1980 he began to exhibit in New York, Paris, Berlin, Florence, California, Mexico, among others. In January 2008 he was elected full member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
