Ana Vidigal

Born in Lisbon in 1960. Completed the Painting Course at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa in 1984. Scholarship awarded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (1985/1987). Metal Engraving Internship with Bartolomeu Cid, Casa das Artes de Tavira (1989). Resident Painter at the Museum of Contemporary Art – Fortaleza de São Tiago, Funchal (1998/1999). In 1995 and 2002 she was invited by the Lisbon Metro for the execution of tile panels for the Alvalade and Alfornelos stations (built), respectively. In 1997 she made a porcelain cup at the invitation of the Portuguese Institute of Architectural Heritage as part of the project “An Artist, a Monument”. Illustrates the book of children’s poems “Como quem diz” by António Torrado/ Assírio e Alvim, 2005.
